The prices for some of the heavy cast bullets are outstanding. Almost sounds too good to be true.

Anyone with recent personal experience with Appollo Bullet Corp. please speak up.

Just got a reply back from appollo. I asked about the BHN of their .45 200 grain SWC they replied the bullet is 90% lead, 10% tin So I'm guessing this is a very soft bullet for light loads?

10-1 lead/tin is 9% Tin, 91% Lead, so it is similar to this company's mix. If they are in fact 10%Tin, 90% Lead. It will be close. the 10-1 alloy of Lead/Tin comes out at about 11.5 onthe BHN scale. Clip on wheel weights are .5 Tin, 3% Antimony, a trace of Arsenic (usually 1/4%), and the balance lead when water quenched come out between 18-20 BHN and are plenty hard. 92-6-2 (Lead-Antimony-Tin) Hardball lead when water quenched comes out at about 16 BHN. So this stuff while softer than the Hardball, is not as soft as pure lead which comes out to 5 on the BHN scale. If it fits the bore (bullet oversized by .001" - .002") it should not lead the bore at usual 45 acp velocities, but as usual, YMMV.

Shipping $15 for up to 2000 bullets.
I faxed the verification form in. But you could probably send it with your order, dont know, maybe.
I mailed a personal check-11 days later I recieved my order, call or e-mail first to check stock.

How much did he charge for shipping 2k . I spoke with him today and he said $15 per 1k. I am just tring to figure it out.

They told me on the phone it was $15 for up to 2000. It may be weight limited, what bullets were you ordering?
