    Tumbler

can someone recommend a good tumbler that won't break the bank ? not supercheap or super expensive, decent that will do the job. Not into reloading yet (will take baby steps) but have accumulated some brass and want to do some brass cleaning on my spare time.

Dillon. Or Frankford if wherever you tumble is far away from your living area (it is louder).

I've got the Lyman Turbo Twin. When it's running in the garage, you can't hear it outside of the garage or the room right next to the garage...so it's plenty quiet enough for me. I think I paid $60. It came with two tubs. I use one for cleaning/polishing, and the other - with dry media - for removing case lube.

Read the reviews on several at MidwayUSA to get an idea of reliability and noise.

Frankford arsenal + an old bucket as a cover to keep the noise down, works great for 50 bucks. I've kept the tumbler on overnight almost every time I've needed to tumble brass and it's been working great.

I bought a frankford recently. It works fine and im sure will last a bit. The dillon tumbler my buddy had took a dump and it was only about 5 yrs old. For 50$ this probably isnt a bad investment.

Harbor Freight Cement Mixer if you do not mind loud, you can fit 1K+ of .223 or even more.

i went cheap and got a harbor freight tumbler for $40 ($50 with a 20% off coupon). I didnt want to wait for online order and wasnt ready to pay gun store prices. So far so good. Probably has 100 hours of run time on it. still like new. Corn cob bedding material from petsmart as media.

Frankford. Cheap and works just fine. Its loud but I just keep it in the garage. Can't hear a thing when its in there.

I know someone here has enough brass to feed this beast.

I got a Cabela's brand tumbler kit which included tumbler, corn cob media, polish, and a separating pan for about $55. It is made by Berry's in Utah, of Berry's bullets fame. Works for me.

Any recommendations on quiet and under $100 tumblers? I'm still planning on reloading and I wouldn't want the tumbler to be too loud in the apartment I'm planning on using it in!
