    Primers, Where to buy?

I am new to this. I was going to buy some reloading equipment and was looking at what I would need other than the press or other things needed. I was looking at powder (no problem) and primers ( big problem). I have a PSS .308. Well not much use in buying what I really can't use without primers. At this point I have put it all on hold until I can find that one little item.

I thought maybe someone here could clue me in as to where one would find primers? Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to try a local gun store. Doing so will save you the cost of shipping hazmat. I've also found far more local gun stores have primers than internet gun stores.

The above being said, try Brassman Brass or Third Generation. As of recently, both had primers in stock.

Wideners.com often has Wolf primers, there's also online sites like gunbroker.com that may have them. You'll have to pay the $22.50 hazmat shipping fee for online powder/primer purchase, so you will save money by buying in bulk and from the same seller if possible.

My Wolf large rifle primers exceeded the accuracy expectation, and it is neck to neck with Federal match primers. Powder Valley Inc. still have Wolf large rifle primers.

I just recently ordered some Remington 7 1/2's off midway for $27 per 1k. But haz matt shipping sucks! So make sure to order at least a couple of thousand.

              Reloading Store in Angeles

I picked up 500 LR Federal primers last week at Angeles, and another 500 yesterday. They've got em'... A little more than internet mailorder, but if you
figure hazmat and shipping it's about the same, unless your purchasing a boatload. Anyways, your supporting local business too.

I've been trying to find some also, haven't had much luck. I finally ended up ordering on-line only to find they're on backorder until the end of Jan.

Wait until the next local Gun Show comes around. Be there early (long line), and buy them locally. No Hazmat fee, but you will pay sales tax.

I'm in the bay area. If you want to make the hike up here I can sell you some Wolf LR primers (sorry no magnums) at what I paid for them. PM if interested.
