Turner's has aluminum case 9mm CCI Blazer on sale for $6.98 right now. I've never been that interested in trying it, but with the way ammo prices are going lately, I'm almost willing to try anything. Anyone have any opinions/experience with this stuff? Anyone used it in an 4" XD9?

no point in that ammo when you can still get WWB at walmart for cheaper. -
i find that in my g17 it throws the aluminum cases into my face
maybe because the case weight a bit less? and yea at my walmart WWB cost less to.

nope they don't. you might as well get the blazer from turners. walmart price is $14.XX for WWB. my walmart is cheaper than that so i buy from there.Comment

If you haven't been lately, it's up to $14 and change at most locations.
The biggest problem I see with it is that the aluminum oxide on the surface of the cases is an abrasive, so theoretically at least, it's harder on your chamber than brass.
In practical terms, I doubt it matters much.
Also, not all ranges allow aluminum cased ammo.
I have shot it several times, but the cost is too close to brass to make it worth my while.Comment

my cz-75b trips up on the aluminum cases every so often- it is a known thing with cz's- you have to use brass. my p7 will eat blazer though.
I collect my 9mm brass and might give reloading them a go in the future once I have more than a 1000 cases to work with. It's almost silly to do all that work to save a $1 on 9, but eventually people might think 9mm is too expensive.
so I don't see any reason not to buy brass since it is the same cost at walmart for winchester white box.Comment
