    I am Addicted!!!

to trimming with the Possum Hollow trimmer. I have never trimmed before, I played with the rcbs one 1x, and didnt seem my style for MY purpose. Maybe if i had one for my 25-06 or something but for bulk 223, a hand one doesnt make sense. it is set for 1.745 and man, just eats through brass.

Has anyone worn one out? does the bushing wear out before the cutter? I have processed about 1500-1800 so far in just a tiny bit of time on my drill press ($100 cheapy from osh/lowes) set on the lowest speed. any thoughts on lubing practice?

Anyways, cant say enough what a great preoduct for the $16.99 or whatever from midway.

I really like mine as well. I have them in .308, 30-06, .223 and 7.62x39. A great product!

I bought one to do my 308 stuff, happy camper to say the least. I have a Giraud for my 223 and love it. Does Possum make one that will do 204 Ruger?

You can contact the owner and ask him to make a custom trimmer for you if he has time. He did one for me in 7.62x39 for about $25.

I have one for .223 and it works pretty good. The one complaint I have is the variance in trimming length which will affect the crimp.
I use a dry drill lube on every 4th case to take some stress off the cutting blades.

If you think the possom hollow is nice, you will blow your load when you try a Giraud.

You are right, I have used a Giraud to trim .308 and .50 BMG. They are sweet, but for $25, the PH trimmers are a super bargain.

How are you guys setting your trim depth, I have been using a caliper down the back side of it. But it seems once I get it to 1.75ish it trims a few cases this length then I get one or two that are 1.74ish.. All of the cases are sized at the same time with the same die.

I've been using the Lee setup. It works well enough.

Play with the speed, many find better/easier results at higher speeds. I run about 600, some go as high as 3k RPM.

I set my depth the same way, I have found that my technique matters in getting consistent results. I use steady pressure until I feel a reduction in trimming action, then a firm press while giving a half twist or two gets the last little bit.
