I see a lot of guys wondering how to reload with a dillon 550 or other brands.
I used this video to teach myself how to set up my Dillon(s). After 20,000 rounds I think I have it.
The video shows you specifically how to set up a dillon, but it also explains how to adjust your dies, a very critical part, and how to research a load...the most critical part.
I can't stress enough you ALSO need to read a reloading manual, such as Lyman's or the ABC's of reloading, to understand the underlying fundamentals of what it is you are messing with.
Is reloading cost effective?? I hear that asked a lot...Well, is doing lawn work cost effective? Or painting landscapes? or fishing for yellowtail and tuna?????
I am sure we all can leverage our time to the max to earn more money if we just opted out on some of lifes chores...like wrapping christmas presents, spending time with our kids (you can send them to day care) or maybe hiring someone to have sex with you spouse...so the question really should be...Will I enjoy reloading and will it make my shooting a more pleasurable activity? The answer to that one is yes, it will. In the time it takes many to go to Wally World to scout for WWB, only to come home empty handed, I have loaded up 400 rounds of 9mm on a dillon 550b...thats my max rate per hour, about what you will waste going to wally world.
