How about with the standard bullet seating roll-crimp die?

Sounds like I'll pass on armscor based on the comments here and incidents noted in the reviews on Midway's page.

I tried using the crimp on the Hornady seating die, and I didn't like it. You really can't crimp and seat in the same die without screwing up the bullet, the brass, or both, because the bullet is still in motion relative to the case while the die is trying to crimp the brass. The Lee FCD is easy to adjust, and it gives a good solid crimp without affecting the bullet seating at all.

Since we're using a pro 1000, would you recommend just running the FCD in a single stage press after the rounds are dropped from the 1000?

I know I could have more stations on a Dillion, but for now we just want to get started with what we have.

          Thanks,
          Chris

I suppose you could, no reason you couldn't run an FCD in a single-stage.

Sorry, you have me confused with Randall. I'm the Red Kool Aid guy.

Too funny. The other alternative would be to run the 1000 as a progressive, then pull the dies and replace the last die with the FCD and re-run the rounds through the 1000. I was assuming it would just be less work to run the FCD in a separate press.
