Finally ready to buy a Dillon

And trying to decide whether or not to make the trek to the Del Mar gun show this weekend. Can I expect to find anyone there offering discounts or better deals than I can find on the internet?

Eguns and BE offer free shipping over $400 IIRC.

Other than that, Dillon stuff is full retail at the retailers. Used is the only way to save money.

I have only seen a few Dillons at that show. The prices were fair, but not good.

Keep your eyes peeled at local shops, ebay (which sometimes isn't cheap either) Craig's list and these forums. You really need to know exactly what you want and how much stuff costs so that if/when the deal comes up, you will know that it's a deal or not.

I have heard, but no personal experience, that Brian Enos, as mentioned above, have the best deals.

You can also keep an eye on ebay.

Shipping is another thing to think about if buying off any auction site, if you can find someone local you might be able to drive over and pick it up.

If you're going to Del Mar be sure to check Dillons website for prices before you go. When you get there you can compare the prices, remember that buying it there you'll have to pay sales tax.

Used is the only way to get them cheaper.

If you Order from Dillon, you pay only $20 for shipping and NO SALES TAX!!!!

Don't get if from the local show, get it from Dillon, just to avoid sending the money to Ahnuld and his Tax and Spend Liberal buddies in the Legislature

I will second the suggestion to buy from Brian Enos. He was a great shooting competitor, hes a good guy, prices are as good or better than anyone and orders $400+ ship for free. + he is in Arizona so there will be no sales tax

Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

Some people just don't get the fact that if they don't pay CA sales tax at the time of the sale, they are still resposible for it if the product comes into this state. On top of that, there are many who are dumb enough to openly admit to it in public or on public forums.
