    7.62x25 surplus ammo question

    7.62x25...1980s manufacture...Romanian...this stuff pretty good? Corrosive?

    corrosive as hell

    punches holes in stuff nicely though (including Kevlar )

      Those spam cans of romy 25 are the best thing going, dont even think of getting any of the other stuff while it is available.... nice, shiny and new looking. It is corrosive.

        Thanks, guys. Price seems good...think I'll pick up a tin or two.

        Cleaning...I've read you should hose out your barrel and wipe off the slide with Windex, dry everything, then clean as usual. Sound about right?

          I will confess to not cleaning my CZ52 after a day at the range. Went back to clean 2 days later and the barrel was corroded beyond belief. A new stainless barrel was bought and now back in business. That was 4 years ago. I bought 800 rnd tins of surplus ammo from J and G sales. I just make sure I clean right after I get home from the range. I have shot a couple of hundred rnds at a time and everything is fine as long as you clean right after.
