    The problem with 9mm brass...

...is that it is so tiny you can fit so much in 5 gallon buckets

Reloading saves money my *****. It is getting more and more expensive but I'm like a crack head. As long as I don't turn tricks for components everything will be okay.

Calguns discounted rate is 1k bullets. You get half an hour extra if they are 45 bullets. Have a special discount for Federal primers

I was over in Susanville this past weekend and this guy who has a shop selling stuff out of his garage had every hard to come by primers and powders available. extremely reasonable in pricing as well. $32.99 for 1k cci, winchester, or federal primers of any type. Most powders are $16.99-$23.99

Cool. I think I have the primers covered for now. It is the bullets that are so damned expensive and no way around that. Bullets are expensive.

um, cast your own lead bullets? If you have a glock get a conversion barrel for 99 dollars and it pays for itself.

getting more expensive...why?....because more people started reloading due to the ammo "crisis"? or just because of inflation? I'm thinking about starting reloading too and everyone else tells me it saves tons of money...how come you think it doesn't??? do you hve a particular setup that requires more money or do you only reload certain calibers?

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Depending on how much you shoot, You do save money.. Just like anything, you have to shop for the best prices. Also, buy in bulk and/or jump in GBs..

I love reloading for my rifles. I can load for the specific rifle and make them very accurate. But, all the good components cost so much. It will take me a while to recover the cost.

You know due to this forum I have managed to pick up bullets for my 22 hornet, 22-250, 9mm and 45auto for half of retail. I am excited at my prospects so far and have bought many other components for easily 1/2 price. The deals are there you just have to look for them.

Yep. You just shoot a LOT more. The funny part is that because I am saving money I can justify spending on components even if in the end I'm not saving anything. But I do get to shoot more. Shooting 50 or 100 rounds seems nothing while 1 or 2 boxes of factory ammo would have seemed expensive. Go figure.

I guess I was being tongue in cheek. I am shooting over a thousand to 1500 rounds a month in 2 or 3 calibers. Would have never done that with factory ammo.

Yes, I might have to do that.

I'm a bit concerned about the lead exposure and people seem to say that it gets in your bones, kills babies and bunnies. Not sure how true all that is. I typically shoot plated or ball.

Be very careful of the lead exposure.....
