Redding T-7 Turret Press

Hello All,

I was hoping I could get some feedback on the Redding T-7 Turret Press - for those that have it - what do you think?

I hope this thread won't take the 'Dillon' tangent - I have a Dillon press. I want to know what people think of Redding's T-7 Turret Press.

I have one. It's a solid press. I hardly use it for actual loading though. But that's only because I have my 45 and 9mm dies on it 'permanently', and I haven't been loading 9mm or 45 in a while.

I have a Lee universal decapping die on it and that's where I do all my decapping. My one qualm is that when I deprime/decap on the T-7, often, the primer will pop out through the side of the ram where the priming tool would be when priming, instead of falling through to the bottom channel where the spent primer is supposed to go. I end up having to sweep up / vacuum spent primers off the garage floor because of this.

I love turret presses for rifle loading. I have dies permanently set up for three of my turret presses.

I know someone who measured the holes and they were all within .001 of the first.

I have two turrets for mine. One for the rifle calibers I normally shoot and the other for .45-70 and .45-90, much easier than changing and setting dies. It has a little flex in it, but it only shows up when full length sizing and can be dealt with by using a good case lube and clean brass. If you aren't a nut about cartridge headspace for semi auto's it would probably go unnoticed.

+1 for the T-7 turret press.
Mine's dedicated to precision .223 and .308.
I also use it for bullet pulling and universal decapping once in a while.
