    Lead Free 22-250

What all companies make it? I know Federal does with the Barnes TSX--but so far that's all I can seem to find.

    Thanks,

Try the Barnes 55 gr MLE... it is the least expensive lead free and it is just like the varmint grenade except 5gr heavier.. they have given me great results.

From a little research I can see the Black Hills uses this bullet...do you know of a source online to purchase these?

      Thanks,

I have always bought in bulk directly from Barnes. They have a lead free line of .22 bullets to satisfy any need. I like the .55 grainers, but they also make a 36 and 50 grain VG (varmint grenade) which works very well out of the 22-250. Give them a call, they are very friendly.

Well, as much as I'd like to start loading my own ammunition I'm not quite that far yet. What ammunition companies offer VG's already loaded? I wasn't aware that the VG's were lead free--that's good to know. I picked up some Federal today with 43 grain Speer TNT Green bullets.
