    cost to load 6.8 spc

do any of you guys load 6.8 spc. I'm thinking about getting an upper in 6.8 and I was going to reload but the components seem really expensive. how much are you spending per round to load this caliber and can anyone recommend a cheap place to get components. I usually buy stuff at midway usa, is there aywhere cheaper.

It's no more expensive or cheaper than loading any other small (?) rifle round. Problem is, like any other round, is getting components. (Primers and powder). No cheap plinking rounds to get brass from... yet. So it's new brass or factory loads. When Silver State Armory finishes moving, you will be able to pick up some new brass from them ($41 per 100, I think) pretty soon... Ammo too. Stick with the small primer brass/ammo.

I have had a hard time with availability of bullets and they are upwards of $.25 each.

Here's what my recent 6.8 loads are costing. I do buy stuff as I see deals. Brass came from midway, bullets from Cabelas, primer and powder from powder valley.

        CCI #34 primer $.03
        24 g 10X $.07
        Rem 115g FMJ $.16

So, Im at $.26 before brass expense. I picked up a bunch of Rem brass for
$.31 a piece. So lets say I got 5 loadings per case the I'd be about $.32 per round.
