Non-lead 7.62x54R

Does anyone know where I can find condor zone safe 54R that is cheaper than $59 a box? Ammo Bros and Custom Cartridge both have the TSX , but It makes my skin crawl to pay $3 a round! (Maybe someone close to covina that could help me pull and replace some Yugo fmj bullets with some Barnes TSX bullets that I would buy?). Thanks!

You need to get a press and roll your own 7.62x54. That's what I'm in the process of doing.
If your talking about loading for a MilSup, make sure you slug your bore to confirm bore size. Good luck

Roll my own?

Im actually trying to find someone that already has one to cut costs. Cant really afford my own press when I pay more in child support than most of my friends make! And its a .310 bore on a cherry b-barrelled M39 so thats not a problem (Barnes sells .310 TSX)

my mosins both take .308 bullets just fine, but I know there are a few .310 bullets out there to choose from.

I feel for you brother on the support. I have custody of my son and still throw the sea hag a bone every paycheck. The judges have created a problem and this states laws on support (and many more) are screwy. Took me three years to get custody after an OD attempt, a 5150, and the failure of multipul drug tests on her part. -g

Buy a cheap used single stage press, an RCBS bullet puller, and a seater dye.
Buy some cheap com-block surplus, pull the bullet, stuff a lead free pill on top,
seat, and off you go. This will still be corrosive, but it will work and be lead free.

Where did you find non-lead 54r? Unfortunately just about all 30 caliber center fire ammo commercially loaded runs about that much. so it's just another reason to roll your own.

I reload my own 54r's all the time. Mines take .311 so Im getting 303 british and Im also using .32 apc pistol rounds with great results.

Would reload for you but I dont think its legal to. haha..if ya know what i mean.
