I have almost finished processing a 5 gal bucket of .223 and I am all caught up on Flashforward and halfway through the first season of Macgyver.

To be clear:
Sizing/decapping: Okay to watch T.V.
Case Expanding (for pistols): Okay to watch T.V.
Priming brass: Okay to watch T.V.
Charging Brass: DO NOT watch T.V.
Seating Bullets: DO NOT watch T.V.
Priming is debatable but I say it's alright. About the worst thing you can do is install a primer backwards and even that's not a huge deal.Comment

Sorry just to clarify. I would decap, size, and trim on my dillon in the basement (No TV, too loud anyway) and then bring the bucket upstairs to swag on my super swage while at the computer watching netflix. Priming and loading no tv in the basement.Comment

I have done many things while reloading besides just that task, including resizing, trimming, priming, etc. The consensus on here has always been that you need to be focusing on just the task at hand while reloading. It was meant as a tongue in cheek comment hence the smilies i added to my original post. Last I check humor was still part of this forum.

Well maybe not consensus but definately general advice. But that's for newbs who are asking about how do I reload.
Plus tone is hard to get across in forums. Generally calgunners are literal and serious.

Although it is general advice I hate preaching something that I myself do not practice. maybe for their first time reloading they have to pay attention but I have always reloaded with friends and we usually always have the TV on plus our convo. Reloading is a task of repetition and I would like to think there are fail-safes in the operation that generally keeps you pretty safe. ie, I weigh every charge even though my charge thrower is pretty accurate with each throw, I also visually check every case after throwing a charge for accidental double charge (although some loads it is impossible to do a double charge to since they are crushed loads) so I don't have a huge issue with some tv in the background when I am reloading. Heck my nieces and nephews come and play with me when I am reloading. That is why I see a double standard between those who are suppose to be experts on here preaching things they don't always practice.
You are right in the sense that the inflections in one's speech does not carry over well in a forum, hence I would have thought the smilies would have hinted as such.
