Wulf Primers #209 any good?

I just picked up 1000 wulf primers for my 12ga.at Folsom shooting center today

I have not seen these before and was wondering if they are any problems people have run into? I'm hoping that they work as well as the regular CCI 209's

Go to www.shotgunworld.com There is a heap load of info on the subject. From the oldtimer reloaders and up to date test data Wolf primers are very inconsistant. From very low to high primer flash. I believe what the guys have said and stayed away from those primers. Be very careful and work up your loads. Also use reputable loading data from a trusted source.

Thanks , I'll go check the site out. As for my loads, I wasn't planning anything nuclear or hot
I am planning on making some nice trap loads and see what I can do with some solid rounds.

I have been using them for almost 2 years in Cowboy Action shooting, i.e. low recoil loads....think Featherlight, and every one has gone bang. They fit the same as Winchester 209's. I reload on a MEC 9000g...YMMV

I have loaded about 500rnds with Wolf 209 primers and the have been very consistent, no misfires, most of my loads are for trap
right around 1100 to 1200fps
I am also trying out NobleSport and Chedditte primers and have had good luck with both of them, prices are still lower on the off brands too

I've been using the Wolf 209's in my BP inline rifle as well as my scatterguns for trap.....consistanly break 23-25 everytime....

well that is good news. I was on the fence about the primers. I figure that they will be fine in my Remington 870. Now all I need is to pick up some shot and I'll be a reloading (shotgun) nut.

they seem to be about the same as win 209 primers so that's the recipe I look up in the books for 'em. shot a brick of 1000 in both light and heavier handicap loads with no problems.
