    Lee class turret press

Hey guys, I am interested in getting the Lee classc turret press to speed things up. I was wondering if you guys had any experience with it, and would know if loading longer cartridgers like a .223 or 30-06 would work alongside the safey prime and auto disk powder measure. Thanks for any info.

Yes I have one. It's a great press. For rifle, you will need the double disk kit. Ball powder works better than extruded powder. The safety prime is quirky to learn but it's decent when you get the hang of it.

It's a great press and is my #1 recommendation to new handloaders looking to get more volume than a single stage for less money than a progressive.

The Turret press is a better route to go than the lee progessive 1000?

Lots of info thanks! Well I am leaning more towards the Turret for simplicity. I dont like having to do lots of adjustments and what not. Heck I love the lee classic loader cause its all one step at a time by hand. Does the Turret still produce quick loads?

I upgraded from a classic single stage to the turret and have been very happy with it. I am only reloading 9mm for my Glocks, so i am keeping it very simple. I have found that the priming device is kind of pain, but you can load them manually with the supplied primer arm just as fast. I can reload about 300 rounds an hour if i am really motivated. I have already reloaded about 4000 rounds in the last 4 months with no problems what so ever. The auto disk powder drop is very accurate and extremely consistent. The Lee classic turret is very solid on the bench and a good choice is you are budget minded.

Alright, I think the turret is the way to go. The fact that there aren't multiple things going on at the same time like a progressive loader seem's alot less complicated for me. And the price seems really respectable as well. The auto index works well with both pistol and rifle cartridges?
