    School Me on +P...

I just ordered a case of .45 200GR +P under the impression that I could use it in my SA xD or 1911, but now I'm not so sure. SA has nothing about the use of +P in the manuals or on their sites (that I could find)...

Any background on +P (sorry if there are threads, but +P is too short for the search function) Thoughts?

    Thanks...

          No.
          It means plus PRESSURE.
You may equate that to power, but it's not the same thing.

You can shoot +P in both of the guns you mentioned. The only thing is constant use of +P ammo eventually wears out the guns earlier than normal.

You can switch the recoil springs to a higher lbs. rating.
