      I'm in S. Orange County and no primers at Turners or Stockade. Can't find primers at all. Any suggestions here as well? I'm looking for small and large pistor primers. Thanks, Robert101

        It's a hit and miss in San Diego. A month ago at Turner's in Clairemont had a sleeve of small magnum rifle primers. The last one they have. Yes I bought it. After than I've been checking and nothing so far.

          Try El Cajon Gun exchange. They usually have stuff. They are expensive. And the customer service is famously bad, allong with the attitude. I wouldent by a drop of water from them if I was stranded in the Sahara desert...

            Cabela's web site is showing all sizes of MagTech primers in stock. I have had some on back-order for more than a month and today I got notice that they are shipping my order.

              They have two older guys there who are very helpful. One works in/near the reloading stuff. Spent nearly an hour with me and didn't expect me to buy anything.

              The other is more experienced with M1 Garands. I was having issues getting ine back together. During the course of the conversation, I let him knowI was retired Navy. He is a retired Marine. We had some good natured bantering going on after that.

                Try Alex Imports/Fine Guns in La Mesa. There is 2 gunshops right next to each other at one location. The one on the right will most likely have primers. But since you ARE going to go into the other store check there also.

                  Although he sells shotgun stuff mostly, you might try John Lumn at;

                  I think that he carries Remington primers, but I'm not certain.

                    Duncan's gun works in San Marcos had several thousand of different types but that was a month ago. $40 per thousand + tax

                    Don't need them that bad at that price.

                      Call Bill at 760-945-9503. He is actually a competitor of mine, but he had primers. Wolf brand last time I spoke with him. I think he was asking 40 per 1000

                          $40/ thousand is a decent store price these days. They can easily be $30 plus at the shows (from Miwall) when purchased in 5K sleeves. Figure i9n parking and admission......

                          all the best,

                            El Cajon Gun Exchange usually has primers and if you are military, exmilitary, or law enforcement they give you a 10% discount which pretty much covers all the state and local taxes. The other gun shop in La Mesa that carries primers and powders is La Mesa Collectables. They may not have the exact brand you want but they should have some of all types. They are a little pricey but ask for John and tell him to give you a deal and he might take a buck off.
