FMJ vs TMJ - What's the difference?

Looking at them for range use. Any significant differences that might matter. At times, TMJ looks a little cheaper as well.

    Thanks

FMJ-Full Metal Jacket is usually the Copper cup jacket with the lead core swaged in. Resulting in usually the bottom of the bullet having an exposed lead core.

TMJ-Total Metal Jacket the Copper jacket material is electroplated onto the Lead core. The Cu is deposited ALL around the bullet, so there is no exposed lead core.

TMJ's usually have a little softer jacket material and engrave into the rifling easier than conventional FMJ's.
    Luck favors the prepared.

The original battle plan did not survive initial contact with the enemy.

"The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt
