Where to get test weights in Bay Area

Does anyone know where to get test weights for reloading scales, preferably in the lower East Bay or South Bay? It seems to me like stores that carry reloading equipment don't necessarily have test weights as these aren't popular items. I could order the RCBS standard set online, but the shipping is a bit steep.

Are there other kinds of stores that might sell small weights suitable for reloading?

I guess I could, but I'd be trusting the accuracy of the bullet weight. I could also use a reference coin, but I'm assuming there might be slight variances between different ones and test weights would have gone through a more stringent process. Maybe I'm being overly paranoid?

I would not trust bullets or coins.
Get some real test weights, even if you have to order them.
There are lots of chinese sets on ebay.

I sprung for a more serious ANSI class 1 set made by troemner.
Got it on ebay for about $75 which is a LOT less than it originally sold for.

This is the set I have. They are wirth the price to be sure of scale accuracy. They come up at gun shows all the time. You can just wait till you go to a show and save on shipping. I am near Concord if you want to use mine to check your scale. I will not loan them out but you can come over and use them.

I know it's not the bay area, but Sportsman's Warehouse in Roseville has the RCBS set for $27.99. I bought one a while back, and I was in there today, and they still had some.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went ahead and ordered the Lyman set.

Sounds like you've got this taken care of. Next time, you may want to call Antioch Armory.

They don't have space (or traffic I imagine) to stock everything you can find online, but I'm often surprised at the variety of components and tools they carry.

Antoich's a bit far for me, but maybe one day when I'm not as busy I'll stop by there just for the fun of it. Thanks.
