    Match Ammo

I finished loading .223 ammo for tomorrows XTC match. All rounds were put in the case-guard RS-100 round plastic boxes. I set the two boxes in the hallway, fairly close to the wall, to be picked up later on my way out to the garage. Well, my wife was walking down the hallway, apparently a little to close to the wall, and kicked the two ammo boxes down the hall. She was in slippers but let out a screech. I immediately knew what happened and that I was in trouble. Her toe is swelling and a has a little color and she is claiming it is broken. She is icing it now and is expecting to be waited upon hand and foot. Here is my concern.............did she fubar my handloads?

If you think those rounds are fubard than they are going to have a hell of a time siting in your magazine dealing with recoil.

No they should be fine, cant say the same for your wife though

The only problem is going to be removing the ammo boxes from where she stuffs them.

Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

He was 2nd I think. Jim O'connell edged him out.

He was also 2nd today at the 3x600, again edged out by Jim O.

But it was a GREAT finish. Lane shot a 598-35x, Jim shot a 598-42x on the MR 600 yard target!

No kidding. I was down more points than that after my first 5 shots of the day.

Never going to hear the end of it. She claimed it was swelling, which I just did not see. So, being the nurturer that I am, I grabbed the dial calipers. She said it was cold and the ends were kind of pointy, but I think I got a pretty good measurement to monitor the "swelling", even with all the whining and flinching.

The best part is the ammo seemed to shoot just fine, after being kicked down the hallway, even though it was not crimped. The 80 grain Berger's are not in there too deep, and with 26.25 grains of N540, the powder is trying to push them out. The 77's are in the case so deep, nothing can really hurt them. But it is a whole other problem to point them in the right direction as they leave the barrel. Shooting standing should only be for smallbore and short people!!!!
