    lead shot maker

With the rising prices in lead, and searching for a better pattern than achieved with "reclaimed shot", I am looking to see if anyone on this forum owns a home shot maker. I have various sources of scrap lead from tire weights to spent bullet heads from gun ranges. Any help?

Lead prices are down, way down.

A buddy of mine wasted his money on one, they don't make good quality shot and are difficult to use.

if lead prices are down why does it cost 40-50 per 25 pound sack of shot?

Because people will buy it at that price.

Scrap lead prices are WAY WAY down.

So, you want to invest in a shot maker? I've toyed with the idea of getting a Magma Engineering one for the last few years. I'm not sure what the results would be though.
