338 Lapua

Need your help. I have bought a 338 Lapua rifle and wondering what type of Dies and reloader would best fit a 338 cartridge? I have a XL650 and was told by Dillon that the 650 can not accomodate the Lapua due to insufficient space (size). Any recommendations? Single stage?

I'm using one of those new Lee "Classic Cast" presses with Hornady dies.
Working out pretty well so far....

I use the press mainly to load .50bmg and .50dtc, so the smaller .338LM isn't a problem.

RCBS Rockchucker should accomodate .338 LM, but I would give them a call to make sure. Go to Sniper's Hide for recipes, there is a current thread on .338 LM favorite loads.

BTW, I am jealous yet again, .338 LM is on my list. Which one did you get?

You are correct with this. The .338 hits the on the auto indexer on the 650 and 1050 units. You can use the Dillion 550 for .338.
