newbie mistake purchased the wrong ammo

I bought some .22lr online finally paid about 28 dollars is shipping for 4 boxes of federal .22lr 525 ct. When i got the box I found out they are hollow points and most range places do not allow hollow points. What to do now...................

what ranges are those? can you name a few so i know NOT to go there.

most of the bulk pack ammo i have are hollow points.

As for what to do, sell them, with the shortage of ammo nowadays, someone will gladly take them off your hands.

or shoot at a range that doesn't care if you shoot HPs.

You sure they won't allow HP in rimfire - Check with them perhaps they're referring to centerfire cartridges -

Why wouldn't your range allow HP in centerfire cartridges?

Generally HP in 22LR is acceptable. What range are you referencing?

Why the hell would a range care whether you fire HP's or FMJs?

Where can you not fire hollow points? Ive only heard of ranges not allowing steel because of fire danger.

i know some ranges that dont allow FMJs, but to not allow HP doesnt seem right...

ya what range is this? or you just thought they didnt? Also surprisingly, alot of people think "hollow points" are illegal cop killers etc.

The Firing-line in Burbank allows 22 lr in HP, lead & brass. Center-fire HP is allowed Only if it is Bonded This must be specified on the original container and or verified by the staff. Gold-Dots & Remington Golden Saber Bonded are allowed for example.
