    over priced

the stockade in westminester has powder in stock but is way over priced on it i think that $27.95 for a pound of unique powder is just way to much
you can get it from midway for $16 and some change just my rant Ray

try going to Philip's Wholesale in Covina. His price for Unique (I think) is only $17 per pound.

FYI, he is only open Thursday through Saturday.

All the reloading supplies you need in stock and special order. Servicing Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange County, High Desert, San Diego.

Yeah, but unfortunately there's the slight addition of the $22.50 HAZMAT fee, plus whatever they rip you for shipping.

Only way online ordering works is if you order a buttload of powder and/or primers at once so the fees get averaged out.

A lot of the dealers don't pay HazMat on their powder. Ramshot/Accurate is no HazMat for orders 48lbs or more.

Graf's has a 32lb floor I think. Have to check their site.

Lots of local guys do mini GBs for powder. Figure 4 kegs is 32 and it's all gravy after that.

Ask around here or at the local range. Shotgunners are always doing GBs on shot.

Order from Grafs, as long as you order more than 8lbs you should still get a good deal since shipping & handling is only $4.50 + Haz-mat

          So say you order 8lbs Alliant Uniqe, for $103.79 +Hazmat Fee:$22.50+Handling & Insurance: $4.50 = Subtotal:$130.79

Which means you get 1lb for $130.79/8= $16.35 That's a WIN in my book.

And the Graf's chicks are HOT! Seriously. Sometimes I call them just to hear their voice. Buddy of mine went there to pick up some brass in person, got a tour. Certified hotties. Just sayin. Love doin' bidness wit a company full o' hotties.

The Stockade in Westminster and Fowlers Gun Room on Tustin in Orange are the same people and the same bad attitude. Some time back I went to Fowlers with two rifles. A 100% pristine Springfield M1 Garand. All original matching serial numbers. Pre WWII serial number. I also took a Marlin 38.55 lever action with quite a bit of use but in great shape. Two guys at Fowlers without pulling out a resale value book said they are both beat to death and they would give me $450 for both. Knowing the Garand high book was $2800 asked why such a low number? One of the guys took a bullet out from under the shelf and stuck it in the end of the barrel. He said "see the barrel is shot". No real inspection other than looking at them. I thanked them for their time drove to Chino Hills Turners of all places and that day they bought the Marlin for $900 and I consigned the M1 Garand at $2200. It sold for $1800 and they kept their $20% so I netted $1440.
Since then My last and only transaction was to buy #1 pound of Bullseye which I weighed at home and was one ounce short. The Laser cast 200 GR Rn .45 was 50 bullets short on a 500 pack that had been cut open and retaped. I went back the following week and got a "Mary had ALittle Lamb Story"about factory inaccuracy weights.
I am sure that someone gets treated right at those places but my experience is not a praise worthy one.
The guy at Phillips warehouse is pretty strange as well but his prices are fair and he will encourage you to weigh the product at his place befor you buy.
Ammo Bros. in Cerritos are very helpfull and fair. Give the last two a try.

Well, in most online orders you're also not paying CA sales tax, so that helps the math.

                  Unique is well.....unique.

It is a very vesatile powder, that's why they gouge for it.

                  Try $39.00 for a pound of H-4895, that's a little bizarre.
