    Sinclair Stainless Priming Tool

    Anyone use one of these?

I'm in the market for a hand priming tool. I want one that's well made, safe and is represented by the manuf. as able to be used on all primers.

I do want to say away from Lee. I've had there products in the past and was not completely satisfied.

I don't have a Sinclair, but I've handled one and it's rugged. My only complaint is that it's a single feed priming, too. I've always shied away from directly handling primers.

I use the Lee tool. I broke the handle on one. Bought a replacement. Still using it.

If you don't like Lee, you can get the RCBS or Hornady hand priming tools.

I use a Lee but I too broke the handle. It was too flimsy so I milled a stock of aluminum to a new handle (looks just like the Sinclair's) and now I have more leverage and strength in my priming. I know this information is 100% worthless to you but I like to brag about my tool

IMO the Sinclair is way over priced. I'm sure it is nice but not $100 nice and single primer loading sucks. I'd keep looking.

I think I'll get either the RCBS or the Hornady.

I've got one, it's nice and let's you know when the anvil touches the pocket. I got tired of switching out shellholders, so I just purchased a separate head so I can switch between .223 and .475 case heads quicker. I never bothered messing with the shim kit Sinclair gives you with the tool, I just set the plunger to 0.010" and call it good, no need to have the shell holder opening face the handle.

Lol I broke the handle on my Lee hand primer too, I'm going to see if they will send a replacement.

              I have the RCBS.
The only issue I ever had was that the priming rod can fall out if you turn it upside down.
In normal use, you never turn it upside down so this is not really an issue.
