223 brass question for those in the know

Ok, I want to find out if it is me or ......

on 223 brass how may times can it be reloaded? I have been running into loose primer pockets on cases that have only been loaded 3 times and getting primers stuck inside the trigger and / or bolt sucks!

this happens with mil brass as will as factory, (I use an RCBS swager on the mil brass I don't cut).

I have loaded 30.06 brass in the ~10 + times

    anyone having the same problem?
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

What kind of primers and what kind of loads? I just chamfer the primer pocket (cut) and get an easy 7-10 loads...even with mod-heavy stuff. How do the swaged primer pockets look?

the loads are on the light side because of the 1-7 twist and a 20" the pockets are tight getting the primer is the first time but like I said I keep having them fall out after about 3 reloads, when I was depriming last night I was tossing about 1 in 10. I use the swaging dye and if I can rock it back and forth I just toss it.

Yeah, if you have Federal brass, loose primer pockets are the norm.

Brass varies in hardness. Primers vary in size.

I get over 10 loadings with zero failures with Winchester brass. That is out of an AR, which is hard on brass. The loads are also significantly over the max in the books. Try a different brass and primer combo.

Or, if shooting an AR, take the trigger out and substantially enlarge the hole where the trigger protrudes through the bottom of the receiver, then put the trigger back in. That way, all the loose primers simply fall out the bottom of the receiver. Not a joke.

Don't use Rem 6n 1/2 in .223/5.56 loads, they are meant for the .22 Hornet.

                    Try CCI's BR4

It also lets all the water drain out when the mall-ninja's take a bath with their toys.

My cousin shoots service rifle. He just started to have some primers start to back out and one split neck. This was on his 11th reloading. Brass is LC from the 60's.

I also know the load he runs is 24.5gr Varget for everything from a 52gr up to a 69gr.
