I run a MEC 600JR for 12ga and 20ga here. Loads about a case an hour (250rds). I load the shotgun commercially and can't justify the expense of the SL900. It's probably OK for shooting several thousands a year in clays but the buy in price is 3 times what even a progressive MEC press is and it doesn't load any faster. I like and use MEC, and they are made in my home state of Wisconsin.

Loading 1oz loads of birdshot for hunting I reload a box of 25 shells for less than $3.50. The cheap crap at Walmart is $7/box and shoots like crap. My $3.50/box reloads are half as expensive and are custom matched to my shotgun. Better performance, better price, handloads all day long. I shoot maybe 100 rounds a year for hunting.Comment

You might want to consider looking at getting a Lee Load-All II for $50 from my website http://www.getbulletsandbrass.com/Re...Equipment.html
These presses are available in 12, 16, or 20 gauge and can be converted easily with the conversion kit made by Lee.
I use this personally for loading my steel shot for waterfowl and lead shot for my upland seasons. Like freakshow10mm said, you can load a box of 25 for mucho cheapo compared to factory grade crap.
I got lazy last year and decided to just buy my shells from the store and I paid an average of $12.50 per box of 25 rounds of #1 steel shot last season. After a few boxes like that, I was kicking myself because 4 boxes cost the same as the press.AdamComment
