So I got what I believed to be a good deal on a CZ52 and some ammo recently, turns out the ~350 rounds of surplus ammo that came with the pistol are from the infamous *3 10 52 lot. I inspected each individual cartridge for defects and I pulled 120 or so cartridges that have split casings. The splits range from very minute hairline fractures to some that I could fit my fingernail into the crack.
I've read the many internet warnings regarding the lot of ammo that bears this headstamp. My question is, what do I do with it. Is it best to just pull the projectiles and use them to reload later?
Ideas? Opinions?
