primers in stock

By now I'm pretty sure its old news, but I though I should share anyway.
Powder valley has both large and small wolf primers in stock. I just ordered 5000 primers for my .223

They also have IMR 4064 and winchester 748.

I'm currently waiting on an order for 20,000 primers from Graff & Sons. (Thanks for the tip, Rick...err...MECAM). But I figured the wait may be long, as some folks are super back-ordered. (Up to 20,000,000 primers on backorder).

So I just put in an order for 5,000 Wolf Small Rifle Magnum Primers from Powder Valley to check 'em out.

PS: How are these primers? Anyone have any feeback comparing them to CCI-450 Small Rifle Magnum Primers?

I have not shot them myself, but some of the gentlemen I talk to at work speak highly of them. I'm waiting for an order as well.

wolf still in stock

I checked the powder valley site and they still large and small rifle primers.
The are the only primers they have right now. get them while you can.
So far I have 15,000 rifle primers. 10,000 large on hand and 5,000 small in transit via ups. I am going to order more but I figured I would give other shooters the heads up while they are still in stock.

I've tried both Wolf Large Pistol and Small Rifle.

I test batches loaded with the Wolf primers with brass of consistent trim length, bullet weight, powder charge, and OAL.

Chronograph results were very good. I had a 5 round string that had only 5fps spread and 2.0 standard deviation. That was a positive surprise.

One big complaint is tight tight fit due to wolf primers being .005" larger than Winchester or CCI primers I've used previously.

You really have to watch primer seating especially if using a progressive press.

Wolf primers are just fine. All seat well in my casings and all go BANG!

Thanks for the information regarding wolf and primer seating is tighter than CCI and WC. Might buy some to give it a try.
