    1st 50 solo reloads complete!

Was going to try them out this weekend but the looks like the fires will preclude that.

Thanks to Randall and Sig226 for their advice and guidance.

Excellent! Nothing like the satisfaction/anticipation/trepidation of firing your first reloads.

What caliber is that (.223?) and your load info?

      Ya, I'd be a lying s.o.b. if I said I wasn't a bit scared.

These are 8mm Mauser. Max accuracy load was 50.8 gr Varget, so I made 10 x 46 gr, 20 x 48 gr, and 20 x 50 gr. Bullets are 150 Gr spizter SMK. Wolf large primers.

You should be fine. Just watch your primers for signs of pressure (cratering, flattening) as you work up to the highest load. You'll never go back to buying factory now that you're hooked.

Going to Angeles to shoot those?

My standard shooting technique would not require the above, load rifle and turn your head away grit your teeth and close your eyes real tight and slap the trigger. The force within you will guide the bullet to the bullseye

You will enjoy those loads i am sure .

Welcome, there is no 12 step program to stop reloading. Good!

                    Yes, that's my proving ground.

                    I'm using a pre-war k98k but it's German steel so I feel relatively confident. v0v

Fire should not affect Angeles since it's nowhere near the activity. If you go tomorrow, look for CSACANNONEER with his .50 on the far left of the rifle side.

Forgive my ignorance but does cgn have t-shirts? Perhaps something less visible would be better for range days. I assume it would build the community.

                            Cool, good luck with those.
I'm going to 5 Dogs range up here in Bakersfield early Sunday morning and just got done reloading some test rounds also.
