OK, I know its the cheapest ammo and the most popular caliber around. But supply seems to be catching up to demand for most other ammo, and most other ammo seems to be more available lately. But not .22lr (especially in bulk packs). Seriously, does anyone have any idea why? Or is it merely that it is the cheapest stuff to hoard, and people are continuing to hoard the stuff?

Where Is All The .22lr Bulk Ammo Going?
When the government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. -- Thomas JeffersonTags: None -
hoarders and gougers.sigpicLord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

you know...I saw something on some shooting show that profiled CCI...They make 4 MILLION, yes MILLION rounds per day....with all that ammo, surely it has to go somewhere...I think somebody is trying to limit our access to ammo....."now where did I put my tin hat"

Out the front of my GSG.
I buy a lot of ammo when I find it cheap but I definitely don't hoard it. It all get's shot.Comment

It has to be hoarders.........I see no new faces at the local range that I go to every Saturday......well I may see one new face a month.
I figure that if they were actually shooting all of this ammo that no one can find, then I would see many new faces.
Therefore, I deduce that it must be simple hoarding.Comment

I guess it depends on where you are. Got a call from a friend of mine tonight. He lives in Colorado Springs. He's been buying me some bulk paks as his Walmart has some some of the time. He's in Socorro, New Mexico tonight. He says the Walmart there has all the .22 bulk paks you want. $16/500rds. Road trip anyone?Comment

Don't mean to thread jack but I think the quality has suffered with the bulk stuff. Last time I had a bunch of misfires and the rifle jammed every few rounds. This was with Remington bulk.Comment

Likely the same thing we saw with some of the EBR manufacturers as they struggled to keep up with demand during the pre-ammo-EBR-panic -- QC has slipped.

i used to buy one brick at a time and leave the rest for people who needed it. Now since all you greedy bass-turds started hogging it i wipe out walmart every time i see it in stock
