Rem factory 223

This happened while on the range. Anyone have an idea what caused this?

Since the round didn't fire, the primer was put in & squished sideways at the factory. Primer fired when it was loaded into the chamber, but didn't set off the powder.

I've found squished primers, reverse seated primers and reversed bullets seated in factory ammo.

A perfect example of checking your ammo before loading it into magazines.

sure its not a "reload" i thought remington primers were silver colored

I've found squished primers, reverse seated primers and reversed bullets seated in factory ammo.

I've also seen a few cases without flash holes.

This bucket had mixed colored primers. There were several failures in the bucket.
