Any recommendation for a portable workbench for reloading?

My old Workmate 3000 crapped out today, a leg bent - wondering if someone has a better idea of a portable device to clamp on my Rock Chucker.

Planning on fixing the leg but not putting that much pressure on it again, just will use it outside.

Check out the reloading bench picture thread for ideas.

Lots of great ideas, big or small.

Do you need it to be portable ?
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Can it just be collapsible, vs. portable?

I want it to be portable as my house is filled with crap I don't want to get rid of - and I do use the portable workbench to fix things at my mother's house.

I have ordered a replacement leg and may just fix that and continue as before. I just didn't pay attention to the leg while it was giving me warnings something was wrong.

I may go years between reloading, so yes, portable.

You sound a lot like me.

I have this one, which seems to be discontinued. Too bad, because it's light, simple, cheap, and can handle a lot. The top is plastic, and meant to be drilled for the press you want to mount. I have a Rockchucker on one side, and a Dillon 550 on the other side. The picture shows how it comes apart.

I have the Rockchucker bolted on a 2x6 board which I clamp on my Workmate 3000. I put a lot of pressure on the lever when i struggle with a stubborn case - didn't think I could tear a metal leg, but my lack of attention to detail showed I did find a way.

Too bad that model is discontinued.

This one here - looks like a struggle with a stubborn case will tip it over.

Not sure if this one will tip over either.

So, since I ordered a replacement leg, I will just try to fix my old workmate 3000 and go back to that way.

Those are intended to be bolted to a workbench or slide into a quick-change plate which is bolted to a workbench.

I've used a Black and Deck Workmate 225 for years.
