    Fed war on #209 primers.

Because they are bigger and take more materials?

Not buying his story really. Pretty sure 'ammo shortage' begins with - ammunition.
Seems like plenty for sale ATM. This could change, but it isn't the case 'right now'.

Oh yeah, lead styphenate, barium nitrate, antimony sulfide and tetrazine are really in short supply This idiot probably thinks cellulose is also in short supply and now smokeless powder will be limited.

No manufacturer will be running out of primer ingredients because they are using more in a 209 than in a SPP. They are set up to make primers at a certain rate and if the demand exceeds the rate, the supply becomes limited.

Of all primers, 209s are probably used the least in military arms which I am sure are the bulk consumers of primers used in their ammunition.

This is all BS trying to spur a new demand for ammo and artificially create a panic buy because idiots believe this garbage.

Reloading primers are a secondary market. Primary market is loaded ammo and more primary than consumer loaded ammo is military and government contract loaded ammo.

Im not seeing a shortage of 209 but there certainly there’s a powder shortage and I think things are about to get worse:

Scarce gunpowder and TNT supplies delay shift to ‘large-scale war production’, defence industry and officials warn
