    .45ACP, 185gn bullets ?

I reloaded .45ACP with 230gn bullet. Have you Calguner ever reloaded .45ACP with 185gn bullet ? Then let me know how it perform compare to 230 gn bullets.

The 185 gn bullets reload are NOT for HD, for range only so precision is an important factor. The bullets will be plated/FMJ not lead nor coat. I used Titegroup powder.

    Thanks You.

185 grain .45acp is a classic target load.
You still have to do everything correctly.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

I load the 185 gr plated bullets from Berry's Bullets. These are round nose, hollow based bullets.

They are very accurate. I have never used Titegroup but I think you will be fine.

I have used 185gr jacketed bullets and they worked fine.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I?ve reloaded some 185 in the past but not a lot. I do reload 200 gr plated 45 often many many thousands, it?s always performed well for me.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

            Semi wad cutter? FMJ?

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

I've loaded a literal ton of 185 lead SWC's. Not a whole lot of difference between those and 200's, aside from seating depth. You'll probably need a skosh more powder to get the same feel, but they shoot very well (well enough that bullseye champions use them to great success.) If your gun has feeding issues, 200's will end up at a more similar length to hardball, which may alleviate some length induced feed problems.

As far as load recommendations, look them up. No shortage of published loads for 185's.

                HI,
I have had slightly better luck with 185gr FP plated bullets than 230gr RN. Although my best 45ACP load is with the 230gr Berry's Hybrid Hollow Point.

Tite group will produce satisfactory results but I found Unique to be more accurate (although dirtier).

I have loaded a Berry's 185gr FP with 5.0 grains of Titegroup at 799 FPS and 5.6 grains at 889 FPS. Both at a COAL of 1.155".

If you use the Berry's FP bullets, your seating die plug may not fit the Berry's flat point, as the Berry's have a wide flat point. I use Dillon dies for 45 ACP, but I had to use a 45 Colt flat seating plug (they have a wider flat profile). Different die manufacturers may have different seating plug profiles and you may not have this issue with wide flat profiles. Dillon 45 ACP seating plug flat profile is great for semi-wad cutters or self-defense hollow point profiles.

After looking at my notes and targets, if you are using Titegroup, I had better luck with 230gr RN and Titegroup.

                  I have a accurate 45 ACP load, 230gr Berry's RN, 4.4 grains of Titegroup, with a COAL 1.275".

Good luck in your 185 and 230 grain load data journey.
