    9mm with W231 OAL question

Hi . Just loaded up a batch on my new Lee pro 6 Pack. 9MM with 4.6 grains of W231 behind 115 gn jacketed bullet. Somehow a few of them ended up between 1.136 and 1.140 ....I was loading for 1.145 OAL. Are the shorter ones safe to send. Thanks

I'm loading xtreme 115gr FMJRN w 4.9gr of W231 and a COAL of 1.114. Never had any issues out of my CZs (Rami, p01, sp01). ~1100fps

Yw. I'm loading for the shortest COAL amongst the three pistols as determined by "plunk testing" each barrel w that specific projectile. That way, I only have one COAL to load to.
        Happy reloading!

I just make it the same length as a factory 115 gr fmj.

Hornady manual shows COL of 1.100 with a max of 4.7 gr. Should be GTG.

BTW- when I was first starting out my 92fs had issues cycling with a similar load and a larger COL. search seared them to 1.100 and ran like a champ.

            Enjoy.

I think you will be okay because 4.6 of W231 is not a Maximum Charge and bullet setback happens.
