I just heard PPU and PRVI will also be suspended from export...

Zastava came first, and I just heard PPU and PRVI will also be under a 30 day export suspension.

I had a knee jerk reaction and bought 500 cases of 7.62x54r and 2000 bullets

I know PPU and PRVI are known for odd, obscure and eastern EU calibers.

I recommend stocking up some, in case the Feds get a wind of it and put in a ban for whatever BS reason.

If PPU and or PRVI ammo or their components become ineligible for import....A picture of a 7.62X54R round will cost a buck.

I guess the good news is that I made sure to stock up on reloading stuff, reload for all my guns except the 22lr. Bad news is that even components would then go up because of less competition.

That news clip doesn't look like good news for reloaders.

For certain Eastern European arms, this could make it a little more difficult. Same for Mauser rifles. Remember that it's only for 30 days. They know very well that they make plenty of money on ammo sales to the USA, and they're not about to forego that profit for long. So, I don't see this as being much of an issue, more like a momentary blip.

If it proves to be a serious problem, i. e. it goes on for longer, then remember that there are many other very good chamberings in addition to 7.62x54R, 8mm Mauser, etc. There's the .30-06, .308 Win, 7mm-08, 7mm Rem Mag, 6.5mm Creedmoor, and so on.
