    147 gr 308 loads

Hey guys so I recently got some 147gr projectiles from another cal gunner. I know that I can use 150gr load data for it but I was wondering if any of y?all had any loads already worked up so I don?t have to do that much testing. I?m just loading for fun as I know these projectiles were probably meant for the m80s which aren?t known for accuracy. Thanks

Same here I have 147?s but use this as my reference point. My go to load is 43.5gr of IMR 4064 for my 308 garand

I have lot of 150 grain FMJ-BT "factory seconds" good for plinking steel, I used the "308 service rifle" load data from the Hornady book, are you loading for bolt or gas gun? IMR-4064 and IMR-4895 are both good, also need to watch out for case capacity depending on the brass. I got bunch of Turkish "SARS" 7.62 brass that has less capacity than say Hornady or Starline

I looked at Lee and Hornady books, but they don't have 147 gr loads. I use 150 gr load data on the slightly medium load and it's ok. There're a lot of factory 147 gr ammo out there, however.
