Copper plated bullets in a Desert Eagle

Has anyone every shot copper plated bullets (berry's) through a .44 magnum Desert Eagle? The mfg warned not to used lead bullets due to plugging of the gas ports. I planning on using a medium or slightly higher, but not max loads, enough to cycle the DE. I have no problems shooting this load through my S&W 629. I know these are completely different guns, but I just want to know the experts opinions. Thanks.

Not sure if the slide will work with a medium load on a Desert Eagle.

The only reason I have yet to try "Berrys" Bullets is that they do not have a crimping cannelure.

They will work, but its best to load them warm for functioning the action.

I have used Berry's for 500Mag loads in the Med/Warm range with good
results, however as Zak mentioned no cannelure keeps me from spicing things
up.
