That is exactly how I started reloading. That was in 1968.

Same here but I'm a youngster I started in 1982.

I started reloading cartridges around 1983.

I don't think learning to shoot with my Dad and my Uncle in '68 counts, even though I "helped" load the Hawken with a light load of FF and a roundball Was a lot of fun for a 6 year old!
