    10mm Longshot powder Help Please.

    It looks like the free online load data from Hodgdon Longshot had been changed since the last time I checked. The max load for 10mm 180gr with Longshot powder went from (I think) 9.5gr to 8.4. I?m pretty sure 9.5 was the prior max as I have some old chrono data with 9.5gr. Does anyone have a screenshot or pic of the physical Hodgdon manual from 2019 or 2020 or maybe 2021 showing that data? It would make me more comfortable resuming working up loads if I had that. Thanks in advance.

    For what it's worth, loaddata.com says the Hodgdon data for a 180 Sierra JHC with Longshot is 8.5 - 9.5 grains, 1221 - 1287 fps maxing out at 34,600 PSI in a 5 inch barrel with Winchester primers.

        It’s an unknown brand pulled bullet from American reloading. 180gr flat point. Thanks for the replies. Where is the above data from baranski?

            Ha, I grabbed 4k from American myself. Great deals over there.

            That data came from;

            My guess is at 9.5 grains your brass won't last long. Looking at the data in the chart above, is it even worth the 60FPS?

              Thanks for the link. Just what I needed. 180gr with 9.5 of Longshot I had a 10 round average of 1314 fps. (4.5” xdm) Brass life would likely be reduced if you can find it. Gets launched pretty far.

                I had to look back to my notes, but it looks like 9.0 of Longshot with a 180 JHP from Montana Gold did an average of 1274 FPS out of the Kimber. Good solid hard hitting and brass launching round.

                  How about 8.0? Would that be a good load to preserve brass for multiple uses?
