What ammo prices are you seeing out there?

It looks like Ammo is getting better in price, almost to pre-pandemic levels here in TX, especially for 9mm if you find it on sale.

Granted many are not even close, and still overpriced, probably because shops don't want to sell a bunch of ammo they overpaid for and not take a loss, but the brands like Blazer Brass, are about $14/box/50 here.

That is about the price I was seeing between the last shortage, and before the pandemic, if you looked for a reasonably good price.

Looks like even primers are coming down and avail at many of the smaller reloading sites, down to like $64-$86/1000 for small and large primers at a few shops.

Are y'all seeing about the same out there, retail ammo wise?

There seems to be more .22 ammo but seems to be holding at .07 per. Hopefully will go down to .06 or at the very least Wolf match target will be available.

I saw a few Remington Buckets of .22lr Bullets at Walmart out here for $69, which was only $5 more than I paid in Cali the last day before Ammo background checks kicked in out there...

About the same here in California, not much has come down in price if any at all. And primers are still at really high prices. B.

I've seen prices increase since Feb for some reason.

Not completely horrible like they were, 3x the price they used to be, BUT available...

Foreign made Murom, Servicos Aventuras, and Ginex seem to be filling the gap, when American primer MFRs can't supply us...

Never used any online primers until now. Always used Fed,CCI,Rem and Winchester. Just got 5k of Ginex after some testing and many good reviews at $70/k delivered.

Dec 2019 New Blazer Brass was 8.99/50 at a retail store.

Wow, GREAT price on the Blazer Brass. I'd never seen it that low.

My last primer orders were a case of 5k Small Pistol primers (~$182/5k shipped) mid-2020, and before that 5k mixed SPP (4000 - ~$23.99/1k) and SRP (1000 - ~$28.99 shipped) about 2017...

                THOSE WERE THE DAYS....

I was looking at some Hornady LEVERevolution in 30-30 today for the new Marlin. It was about $2.00 around.

I'm stocked up with factory ammo and reloads but I'm going to need some primers asap. I just have a hard time justifying the price of primers. They're 3x the money they were 3-4 years ago. We didn't see ammo, brass, projectiles and powder triple in price.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Im see lots of ammo in most all calibers including 410 g at higher prices then im interested in. Lots of 9mm blazer brass $299 for 1000 out there. Seeing a lot of small pistol magnum primers and large pistol primers still around $100 small shop in the big stores and small shops in the boonies are charging $55 plus on popular powders still.

TS had CCI mini mags at .066 per and sold out within a day. At .076 they sat.

Yup, I wasn't buying MiniMags until under $0.07/rd also... then again I've got almost 2 full Remington's .22lr bucket of bullets (and one about 1/2 full now).
                        This ain't my first ammo-Rodeo-shortage...

It's funny how reloaders (and the frugal?) always reference ammo as $ea or $per, rather than the gen-pop that usually states "$ a box" or "$ per box".

I asked a long-time HS buddy (also brother of my exgirl's good friend, and he also used to work for the same company as me) how much ammo was up there in ID, he stated 5.56, .223, and 9mm retail ammo as EA also.

Glad others are doing the math, too, because Biden and Democrats sure ain't...

Our store prices 9mm at $30 per box of 50...and we sell a lot of it. The brands are PMC, Fiocchi, Federal, and even some Speer Lawman when it's come in.

We also sell a decent amount of .45 ACP at $45 per box of 50.

The86d, I do it that way, 1. because I am frugal with ammo and 2. It's easier for me to comprehend since some ammo comes in 20rd, 50rd and 100rd boxes.

Bought 2000 rds of federal n S&B from target sport usa through my FFL. Price was 25 cent per round plus tax (free shipping) . Not bad given the current inflation.
