The X-10 has been released to Midwayusa. Sold out quickly but they say they expect more before the end of the month. Unfortunately they do not have the shell plates and the press does not come with a shell plate. All except the #0 (9mm) plate can be back ordered.

Interesting, I had not really heard anything about this new press. I watched about 6 videos on it and read all the information I could. I think I will wait a while before I even consider getting one. I already have a Dillon XL650 and 2 single stage RCBS presses.
I am looking forward to reading reviews on it in the future. -
It turns out that while Midway does not have the shell plates in stock, Midsouth does and at slightly lower price. To me the biggest selling point was the two de-pirme stations. I have a Dillon Super 1050 that I got used. Originally, it was setup for 40S&W. Because is has a swagging station I purchased the parts to switch it over to .223/5.56 cases. That is when I discovered just what a problem primer pull back was especially with crimped primers. If the primers were pulled back the swagging station would crush them back into the primer pocket. I was looking at various solutions when the X-10 was announced. I also have a Hornady LNL progressive but its case feed system falls far short of the Dillon. I will have to see how the X-10 performs in that area. The Hornady has one advantage over the Dillon in that it is much easier to do caliber changes. The biggest downside to the X-10 that it does not have the ability to feed bullets compared to the Mr. Bullet feeders on my Hornady and Dillon presses.Interesting, I had not really heard anything about this new press. Frankford sells a bullet feeder and collator.
I don't think I'd buy a press that can't feed bullets at this point. It's such a huge time saver.Comment

No debate about case and bullet feeders being time savors. As for Frankford, so far nobody has the bullet feeder or the collator in stock. Their bullet feeder combines feed and seat at a single station. Not sure how that is going to work and so far no videos, which tells me not well enough! My plan is to temporarily move one of my Mr. Bulletfeeders to the X-10. I suspect that Double Alpha will come up with the needed parts in short order now that the X-10s are hitting the market.Comment

I read a post on a site that mentioned you could use a Mr. Bullet Feeder. I was looking at the pics and videos and did not see a place on the case feeder to attach to as the X-10 is a closed lid design. I will see if I can find that post.Comment

I got an email from DoubleAlpha stating that they were not planning on building an adapter for the X-10, because the case feeder is closed top. While true, I do not see why a MrBulletfeeder could not be attached to the X-10 in a similar manner to what Frankford is planning for their bullet feeder. DoubleAlpha also said that they looked at Frankford's bullet feeder at Shot Show 2023 and that it looked like Frankford still had a long way to go. Depending on how well Frankford's collator works, I do not see why one could not use Frankford's collator with a MrBulletfeeder drop assembly. Once I get the X-10 and can see how the bullet collator is supposed to be attached, I will have a better idea of what type of bracket(s) I would need to fabricate.Comment

I went out to look at my 650 with the Mr. Bulletfeeder to get an idea on how it is attached. I have not seen it in a while as it's been to cold to go out an reload. I have a portable AC out there for summer, but no heating system.
I think I could mount a piece of pipe behind the X-10 and put a small piece of sheet metal on it like a small flag and bend it to the shape of a small curve, mirroring the part of the bullet collator it is currently mounted on. Just a quick thought, I am sure there are easier and better ideas, but this was my first thought.Comment

FA Bullet feeder
BragginRights Precision Reloading, who was part of the pilot program, did a maintenance video and while he did not discuss it, he was running the FA bullet feeder. One viewer noticed and commented. BragginRights responded and said we "will love the bullet feeder when it releases."Comment
