    Bulk Primer Buy Sacramento

Not sure if this is against the rules:
    Sacramento Area

Anyone in for a group buy on some SPP or SR primers from American Reloading?
They are Ginex brand and the consensus is they may be harder. Not sure if I need all 5000.

I guess I would buy and people who want it can pay me 70 something depending on if they take tax, per thousand. I think from my old receipts they don't.

I'm not going to ship and drive all over the place so again, Sacramento area.

I'm in for some SPP and maybe some LPP.

A friend of mine has used the Ginex brand primers with good results. I could use LRP's. B.

FWIW I've used a couple of thousand Ginex SPP in my bullseye guns with zero issues. They are slightly tighter than CCI, but just require a bit more muscle to seat; it's not like they don't go in (at least in my stuff. Don't know what others are doing.)

I think the Ginex are more military grade using harder materials. That might be why they take more to push in? B.

I am slowly working my way through a previous order of the Ginex primers and the only issue that I have had with them is the profile - they are a bit more squared off which makes them a little bit more difficult to load into the primer tube... other than that they all go bang

Squared off so that I have to make sure my .223 crimp is really removed? I load primers by hand into the bottom of the machine, always have. So the best price per k is bought at 5000. PM me if someone wants to go in for 2000 which should be $140. SRP or SPP.

                  Yes.
They are also bigger or harder which makes them more difficult to press into the primer pockets so a nice lead-in chamfer on the edge of the primer pocket will help.

Exactly the reason I don't want to be stuck with 5k. I can deal with 1 or 2....

I'll say the ginex SPP and LPP went in just fine for me with mixed brass. They are thicker cups, as evident when I tested them with my Ruger PCC, but they went bang.

Someone is letting me buy 100 locally so I'll be testing mixed brass in 4 different 9mm guns.

I've never been "stuck" with reloading components.

                              I don't consider 5k "bulk".
