    Brass crimp mark

I bought 1k of fully processed 45 ACP brass a while back and about half of the brass has this crimp looking mark ( case cannelure ) about half way down the side.
    Has anyone seen this?
    What is it from?
    Is the brass still good?

After further research I think that is what it is. Seemed odd done to 45ACP tho. Never seen this.

Most self defense 45 has this. My Golden Sabres do.

It's common place on all kinds of pistol brass, I've seen it on everything from .380 acp to 45 colt including 44 mag, 38/357, and 9mm. it's nothing new nor anything to be concerned with.

              Just reload them and shoot.

Reload them and shoot is the plan! Thanks everyone.

If the cannelures are anything like the ones on Winchester .38 Special Brass, they will likely have leaks in one or more of the cannelure 'dots' after reloading for 20+ loadings. Just keep your eyes peeled for not only mouth cracks but cannelure holes as well when they get 'older'.

That is/was common on 38 special wadcutter rounds where the top of the bullet was just below the case mouth (for guns like S&W 52). Helped prevent bullet setback is the theory.
