New to reloading

Well, I just got through ordering my first press from Cabelas. Got the Lee Breech Lock Challenger kit and a set of .223 dies. Best part is, thanks to our safety program at work, I got it for no money out of pocket. I get a Cabelas gift certificate every quarter for staying accident free.

I will be doing a lot of reading over the next few weeks trying to learn all I can, and posting questions here when I have them.

Congats! Don't forget to get a copy of a decent reloading manual such as Lyman's 49th or Speer #14.

Pick up, "The ABC's of Reloading" good book with lots of info for the newby just starting out... as a matter of fact a good refresher book also. I was just flipping thru it for kicks and forgot some of the tips that are in there. Always good to have.

Feel free to ask all the questions you have! We love answering them. If you are not sure of something, ASK! 223 can be a very finicky round, especially when used in an AR. One thing to remember is: Dont overcrimp!

Welcome to the great hobby of reloading, now get ready to spend more money on bulk reloading stuff.......of course you will use it, just that you will spend more whether you realize it or not.

It's fun to load your own and go shoot them. Everytime one goes bang and hits the intended target you will get a grin out of it.

Be safe and read a lot about it, any questions, NEVER be afraid to ask!
