I recently ordered a few cases of primers from them. They did a fabulous job with the overpack as every factory case arrived perfectly intact inside a nice thick shipping box with bubble wrap. Unlike some other retailers that were too cheap and used the thin factory cardboard case as the shipping carton.
However it seems the primers they are selling are old stock. I ordered a case of CCI 200 large rifle and was surprised to see them in the older style bricks. I just inquired CCI with the supplied lot number and they said it was made in 2016. Also I was surprised to receive two cases of CCI commercial #450 magnum small rifle which are white bricks and labeled not for resale. Still working to find out when they were made. My guess is they somehow got a hand on a bunch of old primers from Nexus Ammo factory. I suspected that as one of cases had an old shipping label on it addressed to that factory.
Edit: Heard back from CCI which said the commercial 450s were made earlier this year and that they were not supposed to resale them.Last edited by shamrock12; 11-22-2022, 7:17 PM.Comment

Only time I ordered from them was a bunch of 300 BM (headstamped as such) cases. What showed up was a bunch of reworked .223 cases. When I contacted them, they said they ran out of BM, but would be getting some more in a week or sumpin and would exchange. Never responded to subsequent inquires, so I contested with Visa. They blew that off, so I ended up with a bunch of free cases.Palestine is a fake country

I have bought a lot of their powder and bullets. They used to overpaxk the bullets by as much as 10%. The last 2 orders they have actually shorted the count by about 5 %. I sent an email and they refunded a few bucks. I weigh all mixed and pulled bullets because they usually throw in a few odd ball weights that are way off the amount advertised.CALGUNS DICTIONARY "FLIER": when a shooter wants to turn a 1 inch group to a half inch group because he flinched.Comment

So I emailed an inquiry to American Reloading about 24 hours ago to see what those are all about. Still have not heard back yet. They usually are quick to respond, so I would suspect they knew they were not supposed to resell those primers. Use caution if you should decide to process.I recently ordered a few cases of primers from them. Funny you asked that while at the same time you got worked up over the headstamp and contested through your credit card
They advertised CCI 450 and pictured the blue (retail) boxed CCI 450 on their website. They made no mention of OEM 450s or the white box being marked not for resale. I didn’t really need more 450s at this time but thought I’d stock up a bit while I can and figured I could always sell those primers in the future if I need to. However since I have those white boxes labeled as such, it would be more difficult for me to sell as some likely will wary away from something they’re unfamiliar with.
Also, portion of reason why the prices are so inflated is because of limited supply in the retail market. There is a reason why CCI marked those boxes not for resale because they are supplying a good portion to the ammo factories and at discounted costs. If they keep supplying the factories and the factory keep re-supplies to the retail market, it just hurt us as we continue to pay ridiculously inflated prices while the factories are profiting from it.Comment
