    Processing 223/556 mass

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has some good tips on processing 223/556 quickly. I am currently reaming the primer pockets with a drill press is there any faster or more efficient way? Thanks and if anyone has any good accurate loads for 55 gr FMJ pls leave them down below would love to test them out thanks

I put the primer pocket brush in a hand drill, lock in a low speed lay the drill on the reloading table holding it with one hand and go to town!

I use the recommended C.O.A.L. length with 26 grains of CFE223 powder. They fly straight and fast and flat!

    Good luck!

Are checking random pieces of brass to make sure they are not too big ?
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

Dillon Super Swager works very well for me for the primer pockets.
For trimming, I use a Dillon case trimmer/sizer in station 3 of my Hornady LNL. Case gets sized and deprimed in Station 1, then gets trimmed at Station 3.

Dillon Super Swager and I use a motorized RCBS Case Trimer then the Lyman case prep center for chamfering the necks
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

                Dillon 1050
Deprime, swage primer pocket, size and trim as fast as you can pull the handle. Easy 1-2k per hour if not more.

I've done the drill press method and used an RCBS swager in my Rockchucker. Prefer the swager.

Processing brass is a very tedious undertaking that I reserve for the cold winter days that arrived early this year.

                        Did you read my sticky?

A Dillon 1050 swages the primer pockets as you load.

Picked up a Lee APP. Just started using it to deprime .223 & 5.56 range brass. Much faster than one-at-a-time with my single stage press with a universal decapping die. Also, bought the Lee APP swagger too. Haven't finished deprimming yet to try this new adapter.

                            Update:

The Lee APP swagger works really well! Much faster than my Dillon 600 swager.

For trimming I use the WFT with a hand drill. It's still tedious and I generally do it in batches to save my fingers from cramping after several trimmings.

To any of you Dillon 550 or 650 users, I have a Swagit II for a 650 and one that works on the 550 for sale.
